Happening every first Saturday of each month from 9am – 3pm!\nOur farmers market aims to provide economic opportunity for socially disadvantaged local farmers and improve access to fresh produce and nutritious food for disproportionately impacted communities.\nEligible members of our community can sign up for SNAP and WIC at the markets. If they already have these benefits\, they will be able to utilize them to get fresh fruits and vegetables from local farmers. For every dollar spent on SNAP\, we can match it up to $30 per visit.\nThere are many ways to get involved! Sign up to volunteer or receive farmer training opportunities. DESCRIPTION:Join us at 5:30 as we continue to protest for the removal of the Confederate statue on the Cooke County lawn.\nCommissioners have refused to take action on this item even though they acknowledge the words inscribed are a disgrace to our community.\nIn October of 1862\, the confederacy launched an attack and the greatest massacre occurred. This statue has been a spit in the face to the descendants who live in the community to this day.\nThis is not cancel culture or trying to remove history. This is about making right of a wrong that happened over 100 years ago. The confederacy launched an attack on our city\, yet honored at the county courthouse. The confederacy also said in its cornerstone speech that the black man was lesser to the white man. This was their foundation. It speaks so loudly by the words inscribed. “No nation rose so white and fair\, none fell so pure of crime”. This is also about having those who have wronged our community and the black human race not be memorized as great hero’s.\nAsk your commissioners\, and join us in the fight\, to remove the confederate participation trophy from our lawn.
