How many people would join the military if they knew all this?
An article in USA Today discusses the real price people pay for serving in the US military, and the need for “informed consent” from recruits:
“For starters, a survey by the Washington Post and Kaiser found the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan ‘have caused mental and emotional health problems in 31% of vets’ — more than 800,000 of them.”
