Repression against workers organizing in the Philippines continues to heighten under President of the Philippines Ferdinand Marcos Jr. A joint report published by the International Labor Organization and Trade Unions in the Philippines highlights recorded violations of international labor standards and rights including cases of state interference with the right to self organize through extrajudicial killings, forced disappearances, illegal arrest and detention, threats and intimidation, and terror tagging of labor leaders. While workers in both the US and the Philippines are suffering from low wages and poverty, unstable employment, understaffing, inhumane working conditions and attacks on the right to unionize, we must strengthen our solidarity between the workers of our countries and our shared fight for workers rights across the world!<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
